Specific Rules and Regulations
Beach Rules
- Hours are 6:00 am - 9:00 pm daily unless posted otherwise.
- Alcohol, tobacco products, and electronic smoking devices are not allowed on the beach or in the marked swimming area.
- Pets are not allowed on the beach or in the marked swimming area.
- Glass containers are not allowed on the beach.
- All swimming & wading must be inside the marked boundary.
- No hanging or sitting on the swimming boundary markers.
- Inner tubes, air mattresses, and other beach-type items are allowed only in the swimming area.
- Fishing is not allowed inside the swimming area.
Cabin Rules
- Cabins are designed for the maximum capacity established by the Conservation Board. No parties, reunions, weddings, or large gatherings are allowed.
- A minimum of two consecutive night’s rental is required. There is a maximum stay of two weeks in a 30-day period for any person or persons staying in the cabins at Deep Lakes Park.
- Reservations may be made up to a year in advance.
- The cabin is a strictly enforced NO SMOKING facility in accordance with State Law.
- No pets allowed inside or outside the cabin, subject to reasonable accommodation as may be required by state or federal law.
- Kegs are not allowed in or around the cabin areas.
- No subletting of cabin permitted.
- No one under 21 years of age is allowed to rent the cabins. An adult, at least 21 years of age, must be present during the rental period.
- No tents or campers allowed in the cabin area.
- Parking allowed in designated parking areas only, no roadside or off roadway parking.
- Cabin furniture must remain inside the cabin.
- No candles are allowed in cabin or on the deck.
- No burning of pallets and construction materials containing nails, screws or staples is allowed in the fire rings.
- No fireworks of any kind are allowed around the cabins or in the park.
- Check-in time is no earlier than 4:00 pm.
- Check-out time is no later than 11:00 am on the last day of reservation.
- Failure to follow the cleanup guidelines, loss of inventory, or damages to property, including pets, may result in additional charges billed to the renter.
- There are NO REFUNDS for cancellations. Requests for consideration in the case of emergencies must be made in writing to the Conservation Board.
- Renters and visitors must comply with the park hours of 6:00 am - 10:30 pm. Renters must be in the cabin area between 10:30 pm and 6:00 am. Visitors must be out of the park no later than 10:30 pm. Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm - 6:00 am.
- No swimming or wading is allowed at the cabin area. Swimming is only allowed at the designated beach.
- All other Muscatine County Conservation Board park rules apply. Violation of any park rules or regulations may result in fines, use privileges being rescinded, and the forfeiture of rental fees.
- Muscatine County Conservation Board reserves the right of staff to enter cabin in an emergency, to inspect, and/or replenish supplies.
