Building Codes
Muscatine County has adopted the following codes:
- 2015 International Building Code
- 2015 International Residental Code
- 2024 Uniform Plumbing Code
- 2024 International Mechanical Code
- 2023 National Electrical Code
- 2012 International Energy Conservation Code
- 2015 International Fire Code
Copies of the codes can be purchased through the International Code Council or are available for viewing at our office. All construction within the county must also comply with Muscatine County's Code of Ordinances.
