Assistant County Attorney
The Muscatine County Attorney is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Muscatine County Attorney to start July 1, 2026.
Previous prosecution experience is desired, but not a requirement to apply. Those entry-level candidates who have completed a prosecution internship, legal clinic, or clerk duties for a law firm or judge will be preferred.
Position requires a current valid license to practice law in the State of Iowa.
Current salary range is $76,878 to $126,591 depending on experience, with a cost-of-living increase expected July 1, 2026. Muscatine County offers a competitive benefits package. Muscatine County residency is not a requirement of employment. As this is a law-enforcement position, candidates will be subject to a background investigation before a final offer is made.
