Transport Officer II
The Muscatine County Sheriff’s Office – Jail Division is accepting applications for a full-time Transport Officer II. This position transports prisoners, subjects with mental and substance abuse problems, and juveniles to correctional institutions, hospitals, prisons, jails, and other designated facilities dictated by court order. Assists in the supervision of inmates in a jail setting when not performing primary transportation duties.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be a US citizen, have a valid driver’s license, and be insurable under Muscatine County’s insurance policy. Must attain Iowa Law Enforcement Academy Jailer Certification once employed. Non-lethal and firearms weapons certification required.
