Your inmate’s mailing address is changing! All inmate personal mail is going digital! The address to send mail to your inmate has changed.

Mail

All personal mail such as letters, pictures, and drawings will now be digitally delivered to your incarcerated loved one or friend via the tablet.

Your inmate’s mail must now be addressed to:

To ensure your mail gets delivered, you must include the full facility name and state where the facility is located, as well as the inmate’s unique identifier. Please also note that the sender’s full name and physical address must be clearly written on the top left corner of the envelope.

Visiting

Clergy wishing to visit inmates need to contact Jail Administration at 563-262-4190 for information on visitation. If you would like to be a visitor to an inmate in the Muscatine County Jail include the following information in a letter addressed to the inmate:

  • Your full legal name
  • Your driver's license number
  • Your date of birth
  • Your address and phone number

Note: No convicted felons are allowed to visit without the approval of jail administration.

Except when an emergency exists, inmates will be allowed unlimited and unmonitored visits with attorneys between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, provided the operation and security of the jail are not interrupted. Inmates may call their attorney from their unit at any time except normal lockdown hours or during formal count.

  • Males | 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Tuesday

  • Females | 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Wednesday - Friday, and Sunday

  • No Visits

Saturday

  • Males | 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
  • Females | 6:00 pm - 800 pm

Post Money to a Commissary Account

To add money to an inmate’s commissary account, go to Access Corrections. This is our commissary provider, which allows family and friends to post money to the inmate's commissary account.  Visitors to the Jail may also post money to an inmate’s commissary account through the lobby kiosk in cash or credit/debit card transactions
