Registration Renewals
There are several ways to renew your vehicle's registration.
Online
- When renewing a vehicle registration online, a PIN is required to complete your transaction. The PIN can be found on the renewal notice that was sent to you through the US Postal Service.
- If your renewal notice has a "stop" sign on it, the vehicle registration does not qualify for online renewal.
- Half year renewals and apportioned vehicles are not eligible for online renewal.
In Person
In addition to cash or checks, credit and debit cards are accepted (additional 2.25% service fee for credit card payments).

By Mail
- If you choose to mail your payment, make sure that you have the proper U.S. Postal Service postmark date.
- Include the bottom portion of our renewal notice.
- Make checks payable to Muscatine County Treasurer.

When paying by mail, always use a check.
- A Fee of $30.00 will be charged for all dishonored checks, drafts, or orders as prescribed in Iowa Code 554.3512.
