    Assisting veterans with obtaining VA life insurance coverage, including programs like Service-Disabled Veterans Insurance (S-DVI) and Veterans' Group Life Insurance (VGLI).
  • Veterans' Pension Benefits
    Helping low-income veterans, their spouses, or surviving spouses apply for pension benefits.
  • Survivor Benefits Assistance
    Assisting families with claiming survivor benefits such as Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC) for surviving spouses and children.

    Assisting veterans, disabled veterans, and Gold Star families in obtaining federal park passes, such as the Access Pass (for those with permanent disabilities) and the Veteran or Gold Star Family Member Pass, offering free entry to national parks and federal recreation areas.
  • Iowa Military and Specialty License Plates
    Helping veterans apply for military-related and specialty license plates for their vehicles.
  • Iowa Driver's License Veterans Designation
    Assisting veterans in obtaining the veteran designation on their Iowa driver's license for easier identification.
  • Iowa $5,000 Home Purchasing Grant
    Guiding eligible veterans through the process of applying for a $5,000 home purchasing grant to help with buying a primary residence.
  • Iowa Property Tax Reductions or Exemptions
    Explaining available property tax reductions or exemptions for veterans, especially those with service-connected disabilities.
  • Iowa Lifetime Hunting and Fishing Licenses
    Assisting eligible disabled veterans in obtaining lifetime hunting and fishing licenses through the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
  • Iowa Veterans Trust Fund
    Helping veterans apply for emergency financial assistance from the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund.

All services are provided at no cost by a nationally trained and federally VA-accredited Veteran Service Officer.
