Notice of Board of Supervisors public hearing on adoption of an update to the Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan
Public Notice is hereby given that the Muscatine County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing to take comments on the adoption of an update to the Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan for Muscatine County.
The public hearing will be held on March 9, 2026, at the Muscatine County Administration Building; 414 E 3rd St, Muscatine, IA 52761, at 9AM. Muscatine County Emergency Management Commission, with the assistance of the Bi-State Regional Commission, has prepared a Multi-jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. Jurisdictions participating in this plan have included Atalissa, Conesville, Fruitland, Muscatine, Nichols, West Liberty, Wilton, the Eastern Iowa Community College, Muscatine Community School District, West Liberty Community School District and Wilton Community School District.
The prior Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan was adopted on April 16th, 2020. The Board of Supervisors will hear comments on the current draft of the update to the Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan on March 9, 2026 in the Board Chambers, at 9am.
